Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes is great at many things, including, but not limited to: creating and running successful shows, being fabulous and sassy, and having great taste in television. However, the thing she’s best at is also the worst for us — keeping her finales top secret.

While the hit medical drama is notorious for shock endings (and twists in general), we have a feeling that this year’s finale is going to be more of a doozy than ever. Shonda had kept the details of the plot under lock and key, and so far, we only know for sure that there will be a superstorm that knocks out the power at Grey Sloan Memorial and puts people's’ lives in danger.

The showrunner has kept relatively quiet about what’s to come, but today, she tweeted something so vague and mysterious that we’re infinitely more nervous now.

“On set at Grey's,” she wrote. “A piece of this scene was so top secret that I had to whisper it to the director instead of writing it in the script.”

So top secret that she couldn’t even write it down or tell the cast?! We can’t imagine what’s to come. A few months ago, she promised “no cast departures,” but that doesn’t mean someone’s life won’t be hanging in the balance in the final seconds of the episode — especially since the synopsis says “one of the doctors fights for their life.”

Anything can happen, though, and maybe this year everyone will leave the season unscathed. Fingers crossed!

Do you think Shonda will end up killing someone off, or are we being nervous for no reason? Share your thoughts below!
