Grey's Anatomy Season 9: Meet the Newest "Top Dog" Doc

Change is in the air for Grey's Anatomy Season 9. Deadline has the latest Grey's casting update, and it sounds like there's a new face who will challenge the Seattle Grace-Mercy West residents.

According to Deadline, Desperate Housewives star Steven Culp has landed a recurring role on our favorite hospital drama. He'll be playing a "top dog doctor." Does Grey's really need another one of those?

There's no indication of whether Steven's character will be a Seattle Grace-Mercy West newbie, or if he'll work at one of the hospitals the residents will potentially leave Seattle Grace-Mercy West for.

Either way, we're guessing heads will butt. You can only fit so many top dogs in one OR!

Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 will premiere on Thursday, September 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
