Things are looking grim for fan-fave couple Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) on Grey's Anatomy Season 9.
In the first two episodes we learn that Arizona has lost her leg after the Season 8 plane crash, she blames Callie because Callie is the one who made the call to cut it off, and she's spiraled into a depression.
Right now, Arizona's story looks bleak as bleak can be. But is it all bad, all the time for the foreseeable future?

Showrunner Shonda Rhimes told TVLine that "Callie and Arizona are going to have a fun romance-y, sexy love life again"... eventually.
Shonda promises that Arizona will "get her mojo back ... before Valentine’s Day." That means at the very longest, we'll only have to wait until February to see the gals get sexy again (if you can say "only" about five months).
And yes, we will see said sexy-times. Shonda explained that it's "important" to her to show that someone missing a leg can still have a good life and be "sexy and fun and romance-y." She emphasized that the reason she decided to have Arizona lose her leg was to create a story that would help audiences "to understand what it is like to be differently abled."
Breath a sigh of relief, everybody. It sounds like things are going to work out in the end.
