Considering how many OMG moments there were on the Grey's Anatomy Season 8 finale (Season 8, Episode 24, "Flight"), we didn’t get to see too much happen between BFFs-with-new-benefits Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew). In an interview with Glamour, Jesse opened up about why he thinks those two might actually have a shot at happiness together in Season 9.

Jesse says, “With April, [Jackson] knows he can trust her, and she's going to look out for him. As crazy as she behaves sometimes, she's always there for him.”

As for taking April’s virginity, he says that since Jackson wasn’t the instigator, there shouldn’t be any trust lost between them: “What's most important is that we trust each other, which is why, Jackson I think, trusted her and went with her when she pushed herself on to him.”

But April isn’t the only woman in Jackson’s past that will play a role in his life next season. Jesse says that he’ll be suffering after losing Lexie (Chyler Leigh). “I'm going to be traumatized to a degree. My friend/girlfriend is obviously going to have to deal with me losing someone that I was intimate with, and me and her, we haven't really figured out what we're going to do yet.”

Is Jesse revealing that his “friend/girlfriend” next season will be April? And how will Lexie’s death factor into to their trusting relationship?

Miss Grey’s? Us too. Luckily the show will return to Thursdays at 9 p.m. with all-new episodes in the fall on ABC.
