We don’t know much about Grey's Anatomy Season 9, Episode 4 other than that it’s directed by Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt), but what we do know could mean serious drama for some main characters. Let’s just say that a certain someone is returning and is sure to ruffle a few feathers.

Look out, Dr. Webber (James Pickens Jr.). She’s back. We’re talking about the ferocious-yet-lovable mother of Jackson (Jesse Williams), Catherine Avery (Debbie Allen).

We already knew that Debbie was returning behind the camera as director of Season 9, Episode 3, but now TV Guide reports that she will make an appearance in front of the camera just one week later.

Last time we saw Catherine, she was apologizing to her son for her relationship (or should we say relations) with Richard. Could her return mean we get more of Richard and Catherine? Or will the arrival be filled with drama and repercussions?

Although we can only guarantee her presence in one episode, we wouldn’t be surprised if she showed up again. After all, she’s the mother of a doctor, a flirting buddy/lover of another and a doctor herself. We think she has plenty of reasons to stick around.

So the question is: Do you want to see more of Catherine Avery?

Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 will premiere on Thursday, September 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
