Yesterday, we gave you a short synopsis of Grey's Anatomy Season 9, Episode 2: “Remember the Time.” Now ABC has released a slightly more detailed description of the episode.

As we've noted before, Season 9 will start with a time jump forward, to several months after the crash. Episode 2 (which airs October 4) will take us back to the time of the crash — but maybe not for the entire episode.
"In this flashback episode, return to the site of the plane crash and watch as each doctor tries to cope with the heartache and injuries caused by the crash," the press release about the episode begins. That's pretty straightforward, and about what you'd expect.
"Meanwhile, back at Seattle Grace, everyone struggles to find a bit of normalcy amidst the chaos," it continues.
But is this back at Seattle Grace-Mercy West during the time of the crash, or at some other point in time? The press release calls the episode a "flashback episode," which suggests the whole episode is flashbacks, but Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt) has hinted that the episode might include some present day scenes as well.
Also worth noting is the guest stars for the episode, which include several characters who, according to the press releases, we will first meet in Season 9, Episode 1: "Going, Going, Gone." These include Gaius Charles as "Shane" (who we know little else about), Tina Majorino as a mysterious character named Heather. The fact that these characters appear in both the flash-forward premiere and this episode does suggest that some of Episode 2 will take place in the "present" of the show — though who knows, we could be guessing wrong on that!
Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 will premiere on Thursday, September 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
