On tonight's episode, Season 9, Episode 12: "Walking on a Dream," Arizona is going to suffer from phantom limb syndrome, which means she feels pain in her missing leg. If you're hoping to see Callie comfort her, you're out of luck, at least in the beginning.
"Arizona's in denial with Callie," Jessica explained to TV Guide. "I don't think she really wants to go back into the dark place and bring Callie back into the dark place with her." So instead of going to her girlfriend with her problem, she's going to seek out Owen's help.
More generally, Jessica noted that even during Arizona's darkest time at the beginning of the season, there "wasn't love lost" in the Calzona relationship, and now that Arizona is in a better place, mentally, they can slowly start "to give your attention to that love."
However, you shouldn't expect perfect happiness. As Jessica explained to The Hollywood Reporter, "Everybody wants to hurry for the big happy ending but the journey back to it is incredibly interesting as well."
As long as there's a happy ending eventually, we're happy to be along for the ride!
