From what we know, Grey's Anatomy Season 9 is packed full of two things: change and new faces.

According to NewsOK.com, stand-up comedian and current host of What’s Happening L.A., Arriane Alexander, will appear in the Season 9 premiere (Season 9, Episode 1: "Going, Going, Gone").
The actress will appear in a scene with none other than the Chief himself, Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd). In a press release, Arriane said: “To be on set with Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey), Justin Chambers (Alex Karev) and Kevin McKidd was like watching a master class in acting. These people are at the top of their game.”
We don’t disagree with her there. However, what we want to know is what she was doing in that scene. Who could she be playing? Does her scene with Owen imply that she has some kind of personal tie to him, or is she simply a patient of his? Does her mention of Ellen and Justin mean that she also filmed scenes with them?
Or do you think she’ll do what she does best and play a comedic role? Hey, as far as we’re concerned, the docs of Seattle Grace-Mercy West could use a good laugh.
Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 will premiere on Thursday, September 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
