Things get intense with Mer and Der here in the kitchen.
Now that Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) has finally settled down in General, working alongside Bailey (Chandra Wilson) — and supposedly doing Ellis Grey proud by following in her mother’s footsteps — Derek (Patrick Dempsey) will swoop in and confuse her once again on an upcoming episode of Grey’s Anatomy.
According to TV Guide, we’ll see Derek “practically beg her to return to his service” in the Neuro department. But, like pretty much every plot line involving the Grey sisters and Derek, don’t expect things to go smoothly.
“Meredith ends up leaving shortly therafter when a serious mistake puts Lexie [Chyler Leigh] in the line of fire. Like a good big sis, Meredith takes the fall.”
We wonder if Mer winds up taking the heat from Derek, telling her beloved that she was responsible for whatever terrible medical mistake Lexie made, just to maintain the volatile and barely-tolerable relationship between her sister and her husband.
It sounds like Meredith will resume her role in General soon afterwards, but we had a thought: Maybe Neuro isn’t the best place for Lexie either.
