Grey’s Anatomy is notorious for frustrating and traumatic finales, and it looks like the Season 9 ender is no exception. However, there’s a catch.

Shonda Rhimes took to her blog, Shondaland, to gush about her writing staff and why she doesn’t write every episode of Grey’s anymore. (She’s busy! She works on Scandal, too, you know.) After going on for a few paragraphs about how brilliant the writers are and how they’re a lovely “family” who “speaks ‘Shonda’ fluently,” she revealed a few telling tidbits about the finale, including fans’ potential reactions.

“This year's finale was written by Stacy McKee. It's brilliant. And very well-done. And exactly how I would have written it,” she dished. “Which probably means some of you are gonna be furious with us all summer long and some of you are gonna love us.”

Ahh, furious all summer long? She recently said that the finale will keep people talking all summer, but we had no idea that it could make us so furious. Does that mean that someone dies? Maybe MerDer’s baby? Maybe a fan-favorite character leaves? There are so many possibilities now that our minds are reeling and our feelings are taking over.

However, since Shonda thinks the finale will be polarizing, maybe the decision(s) made in the finale are partially good and partially bad — a bittersweet ending, if you will. Or maybe it's a cliffhanger, and the reaction will hinge on if the particular fans likes the drama, or just wants to know what happens. With Shonda, we never know what’s next, and honestly? That’s kind of what we love (and hate) most about her.

Do you think you’ll love or hate the finale? Sound off below!
