Since the plane crash on the Grey’s Anatomy Season 8 finale, we’ve been holding our breath, nervous that something tragic will happen to our favorite doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Although creator Shonda Rhimes recently said that Season 9 won’t end in a “catastrophe,” it looks like things may have changed.

According to one of Shonda’s recent tweets, some “intense discussions” with the Grey’s writers about the season finale led to some “bold, shocking decisions”! Uh-oh. Back in February, she said that she only had a “general idea of what the finale is going to be,” so these changes shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, but now we’re nervous.

While we doubt that she’d kill off any major characters, that’s what we thought last time around, and then Mark and Lexie both said early goodbyes. Fingers crossed that no planes (or trains or automobiles) will crash!
