Grey's Anatomy Season 8 is coming to a close. The finale, Season 8, Episode 24, "Flight" still a few weeks away, but we already know a lot about it, and now, thanks to a press release from ABC, we can fill in even more of the gaps.

Lives on the line: As many fans already know, someone is going to die during the finale, and according to Sarah Drew (April Kepner) almost the entire cast — "like nine of us" — will be left in jeopardy at the end of the episode. According to the press release, the docs will find themselves in "a life threatening" (duh) situation, and "the doctors must fight to stay alive while trying to save the lives of their peers."
Bailey and Ben: It sounds like Bailey (Chanda Wilson) might not be caught up in the action (hopefully that means she definitely lives!), because "Bailey and Ben make a decision regarding their relationship" during this episode.
Teddy's offer: Meanwhile, "Teddy [Kim Raver] is presented with a tempting offer." Our immediate guess is that it's a job offer. Since Teddy is on the outs with Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Cristina (Sandra Oh) might be leaving for a different hospital, there's not much tying Teddy to Seattle Grace-Mercy West anymore.
Richard's plan: Finally, "Richard [James Pickens Jr.] plans a special dinner for the residents." We have a feeling this dinner will be a sad affair if many of the residents are caught up in a life-or-death situation. Who wants to bet that Richard gets a phone call that his residents are all in danger just as he's setting the table, or something equally heartrending?
The finale airs on Thursday, May 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
