Katherine Heigl (Izzie Stevens) recently made waves by declaring that she'd love to return to Grey's Anatomy to wrap up Izzie's storyline. So far, no one with power over casting has commented from the Grey's camp, though Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey) recently chose someone other than Izzie as the past character she'd most like to see return. However, Katherine does have at least one cheerleader in the Grey's cast: Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey).
"We’re family," Chandra declared in a recent interview with Access Hollywood Live. "Because we were all together for all that time."
Despite Katherine's controversial exit from the show, Chandra thinks everything would go smoothly if she did return. "When family members are back with us it’s the same thing, you fall right into the same groove."
Of course, Chandra was quick to point out that she and the other actors have "no control" over this kind of casting decision. "It’s all about what the show needs."
Still, it's nice to hear that all would probably go well if the Grey's Powers That Be ever took Katherine up on her offer.
