It turns out Sarah Drew (April Kepner) and her character on Grey's Anatomy have a lot more in common than their looks.

When a fan asked Sarah on Twitter if she’s as religious as her character and how old she was when she lost her virginity, Sarah responded, “I waited till marriage.”

OK, so maybe she and April don’t have that much in common … anymore. Because at this point, April has even failed at being a re-virgin. Not that we blame her.

As for Sarah, she married her college sweetheart Peter Lanfer, a lecturer at UCLA, in 2002, when she was just 22. So, Sarah did lose her virginity at a younger age than April, but she did still want to wait until she had found someone special.

Are you surprised to hear that Sarah was abstinent? Do you think it’s becoming more or less common nowadays?
