We've been hearing all year from critics and fans alike that Grey's Anatomy's Season 6 finale shootout yanked the doc drama out of a serious slump, and, now, that fateful character-killing spree has landed Grey's Anatomy among Entertainment Weekly's Best TV Character Deaths of 2010.

While most of the other character deaths on the list were individual, Grey's (along with LOST), was credited with a "death orgy," in which fistfuls of characters died all in one go. Ranking in as the #6 Best TV Death of 2010, EW credits the shooting with thinning out Grey's Anatomy's over-stuffed cast after the Mercy West Merger. Of course, the solution to an overcrowded cast is a mass murder, right? Sorry, Reed and Percy (and Meredith's unborn fetus...? Yikes...).
