How Did the Grey's Anatomy Cast Feel About the Season 9 Premiere?

The Grey's Anatomy Season 9 premiere (Season 9, Episode 1: "Going, Going, Gone") was hard to watch as fans, but how did the cast feel about filming it?

Last night, Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt) live-tweeted the episode. About 45 minutes into the episode — right around when it came time to really say goodbye to Mark (Eric Dane), Kevin tweeted, "show is getting sad i know, was sad to film."

We're not surprised. The cast wasn't just saying goodbye to a beloved character — they were also saying goodbye to a valued co-worker.
