Private Practice star Kate Walsh (Addison Montogomery) will be returning to her old stomping grounds (well, sorta) on Grey's Anatomy this Thursday for the special two-hour Private Practice/Grey’s cross-over event.
Wetpaint Entertainment got an exclusive chance to talk to Kate about the upcoming episode and what it was like to return to Grey’s as a pregnant Addison in Season 8, Episode 13: "If/Then."
“Oh there’s some serious surgical shizzle [coming up],” Addison told us about the upcoming cross-over. “That’s all I can say for right now!”
As for the alternative reality episode (“If/Then”) Kate says it was “super fun” to return to the set and that she “loved” wearing a faux baby bump during the episode, considering her character’s struggle to get pregnant on both shows.
As for future storylines for Addison on Grey’s and Private Practice, Kate has an interesting idea that we’re sure Shonda would love to do.
“I would love to do a ‘flash forward’ episode of a Grey’s/Private and see where everyone is when they are old,” Kate says. “Sort of like the Six Feet Under finale.”
Hey, they did an alternative reality episode, why not a flash forward episode?
