Private Practice star Kate Walsh (Addison Montgomery) knows a thing or two about what men find sexy. Her first perfume, Boyfriend — a floral, woody mix — sold so well, she just debuted her second scent, Billionaire Boyfriend. With top notes of black jasmine and amber, it’s a sultry blend that’s perfect for Valentine’s Day. Wetpaint Entertainment spoke exclusively with Kate about the new scent, her thoughts on V-Day and her idea of the perfect way to celebrate it.

Wetpaint Entertainment: What do you love most about creating fragrances? Why fragrance as opposed to a clothing line, a skin care line or anything else?  
Kate: Since I was a kid, I have always had a fascination with perfume. I love the idea of the mystery of a scent, a surprise in a beautiful bottle. It feels like buried treasure, like you don't know what it's going to be until you open the box. I also love the power and ability that fragrance has to intoxicate and bring people to different places and memories in their lives.

Do you think changing up your scent — say, by spritzing something you’ve never worn — could be a big turn on to your significant other on Valentine’s Day?
Absolutely! If you are rocking a great dress and then your sweetheart moves in for a hug or a kiss and has this full experience of a new or different fragrance, it's fun and powerful and exciting. I'm always a fan of switching things up to keep myself interested.That’s why I love my new Billionaire Boyfriend fragrance. It still has similarities of the original Boyfriend but evokes different emotions.

Pardon the pun, but does your boyfriend like Boyfriend?
My boyfriend loves my Boyfriend! And from what I hear so do a lot of husbands, mothers and daughters!

What’s your idea of a great Valentine’s Day evening?
Since there are so many people out and about in Los Angeles [where Kate lives] I might just enjoy a quiet evening at home...cooking, fire, good red wine, that sort of thing.

Have you ever had a Valentine’s Day disaster?  
I seem to recall being in a posh restaurant and crying over a Valentine’s dinner...BUT I’ve also had great Valentine's parties for all my pals to eat, drink and be merry. Valentine's is a celebration of love, in every respect: friends, family, cats, dogs...you name it!
