Scandal doesn’t return until next week, but to help tide you over Wetpaint Entertainment sat down with Katie Lowes (Quinn Perkins) to talk about Quinn, and what’s coming up on the show.

Wetpaint Entertainment: Last week we found out that Quinn’s mystery is so much bigger than her.

Katie Lowes: I know – this evil knights of the round table. Who do we trust if Olivia is sitting at that table? What side is she on? I know. It is connected to this huge conspiracy. Who Quinn is obviously goes up all the way to the top of the top, and Shonda Rhimes definitely spends this season getting to the bottom of that. And I think that’s’ where she’s going to focus these first 13 episodes and then these back nine that we just got, I’m not sure where they’re going to go.

Do you know what this table is about?

Kind of. But in classic, amazing Shonda Rhimes fashion, she doesn’t tell us anything until we get the scripts. We’re on episode 9, and I can say I sort of know what it is and it feels like it’s coming to a real head. You get little bits of information slowly but surely in every episode. But I still don’t know everything yet.

Is Quinn going to be adamant about finding out what happened?

Yes. Yes! There was that conversation [in last week’s episode], where Quinn could just be like, “Thanks for saving my life. I’m back.” Or is she back in the office to find out why this happened to her? And why did you do this to me? I’ve been framed, and you have to tell me why this happened to me.

So she’ll be relentless?

I think the Quinn that you saw in episode 3, where she really attacks Abby at the bar – she learned a thing or two in jail, and she’s learned a thing from Pope and Associates about having to grow a pair and be tough and that’s how this world works and that’s how you get information. You’re definitely going to see those sides of her, for sure.

And Cyrus having a person killed, are we ever going to revisit that?

Umm….I think the idea is that in D.C. these things just happen…It’s horrible. But what’s crazy is that it could happen. We don’t know! As of yet, we’re onto a whole other thing and I don’t know, but Shonda said something at the beginning of the season, where, if we’d get a back nine, these 13 episodes would focus on this conspiracy and then the nine would be about a whole other storyline. And of course she might have changed her mind but I feel like she’s said that. And that Amanda Tanner situation was one bubble and now we’re onto another bubble. I feel like the show might exist like that.
