Rhimes has been quite the busy little executive producer as of late. While juggling producing and writing Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, she's also producing a new doc drama Off the Map (a Doctors Without Borders-esque concept set in South America), and she just pitched her newest venture: Untitled. Well, okay, so she's still working on what to call it, but the new show, which she created, will exec produce, and write, is inspired by public relations guru, Judy Smith. Smith helmed the march out of the muck and mire of scandal for such famous misstep-ers as Bill Clinton, Michael Vick, and New York Governor David Paterson.
The show will center around a crisis consultant and her dysfunctional staff (because, really, Rhimes' ultimate creative forte is dysfunctional staffs) as they navigate various PR landmines. If Shonda can come up with outrageous scandals as easily as she comes up with outrageous medical cases, we predict the show will be just as addictive as Grey's Anatomy. Judy Smith herself has signed on as producer on the project for authenticity. Ummm, can you say Bill Clinton cameo, please?
