In a series of retweets yesterday (May 2), Grey's Anatomy star Jesse Williams (Jackson Avery) made it clear that he’s very interested in the ongoing conversation among fans regarding Jesse playing Finnick in the next Hunger Games movie, Catching Fire.

Jesse tweeted a story from E! in which he expresses some growing intrigue of the character, and wrote, “Energy & patterns on this topic- far more interesting than I expected.” He’s since been retweeting fans’ desires for him to take on the role, and online discussions propping him up for the part.

For Hunger Games neophytes, Finnick is a huge part of the second and third books. He is supposed to be gorgeous, an adventurous risk-taker, very athletic, and adored by millions of women, sometimes even offering companionship for money (in a very non-sinister way). He’s also a diehard romantic, remaining loyal to true love Annie throughout the story.

For the record, we’re in favor of Jesse for Finnick. He’s hot enough, manly enough, and based on his work on Grey’s, definitely knows how to play someone with heart. Jesse, if you’re listening, at least give the script a read when it comes to your door!

Catch a new episode of Grey’s Anatomy tonight, May 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
