Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) talks with a family of car crash victims.
We already have a vague idea of what to expect in Grey’s Anatomy Season 8, Episode 10: “Suddenly,” which airs on Thursday, January 5, 2012 when Grey’s finally (!) returns for the second half of Season 8. But now we know what will happen in Episode 11: “This Magic Moment,” which airs the week after, on January 12th.
According to a new ABC press release, this is what to expect:
"The doctors split into teams for a risky surgery involving conjoined twins; Bailey [Chandra Wilson] recruits Meredith [Ellen Pompeo] to be a buffer between her and Ben when he puts pressure on moving their relationship to a more serious level; Richard [James Pickens, Jr.] teaches Alex [Justin Chambers] a tough lesson in the OR; meanwhile Teddy [Kim Raver] questions Cristina [Sandra Oh] about what exactly happened to Henry during his surgery."
Now, we can’t help but bring up a previous episode of Grey's involving the separation of adult conjoined twins: Season 3, Episode 10: “Don’t Stand So Close To Me.” So what fresh take on this type of surgery will the docs at Seattle Grace come up with now?
Also fun in terms of flashbacks to early Grey’s seasons, Bailey will be using Meredith again to send some sort of message to Dr. Ben, her ex. We’ve missed those funny plot lines where Bailey reveals her softer side and Meredith finds herself in awkward situations in the middle of other characters’ personal lives. Lots of magic moments, indeed!
