Spoiler! Will a Doc Really Go Blind on Grey's Anatomy?
Patrick Dempsey oh-so-dreamily assures us that no, Meredith will not, in fact, have to choose between a baby and her eyesight. As we previously spoiled, Meredith starts to go blind while running the ER in this week's episode, due to the fertility drugs she's been taking.
"Meredith has a little bit of an issue because the [fertility] meds are a bit too strong for her," Dempsey says. "But she's going to be fine, she's not going blind — she needs to see." Well, yeah, especially if she's in the race for Chief Resident.
As for what the future holds this season for MerDer? "It's a melodrama," Dempsey chuckles. "[They] do the best that they can, and they cry and they fight." Hmm, we find that oddly comforting... Just like the good old days.
