And so it begins. According to Grey's Anatomy creator, showrunner, and general mastermind Shonda Rhimes, the Season 9 preparations are starting to get into high gear.
"Okay, the first table reads of our seasons are starting!" Shonda tweeted last Thursday, July 12. "Next week: [Grey's Anatomy] and Scandal! [Private Practice] is the week after that!"
You know what that means, folks: The cast will be back together to read the season premiere this week!
However, if you're hoping this means you'll find out if your fave docs live after the crash, you might be disappointed. The Grey's cast is notoriously good at keeping secrets, and on Saturday, July 14, Jessica Capshaw (Arizona Robbins) even tweeted, "Dear Grey's fans, Stop trying to trick me into telling you if I am going back to work soon ;) I'm not spilling the beans... xx Jessica."
Sigh. For now, those outside the Shondaland inner circle will have to be content with speculating about what's happening at that table read.
Miss Grey’s? Us too. Luckily the show will return to Thursdays at 9 p.m. with all-new episodes in the fall on ABC.
