154 episodes in to Grey's Anatomy, and the shocks keep coming. How do those writers keep us on our toes week after week, anyway? Those crafty sons of guns! Anyway, enough blabbering: here are their latest offerings in the surprise department.

That's Dr. Robbins to you
Okay, we've all been there. You and your significant other meet someone related to an ex of yours, and you're a bit hesitant to say, "Yes, and this is my new boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife/lover, we're wildly happy, and we're having the best sex of our lives." We get it, Callie (Sara Ramirez). But to introduce your wife so formally and impersonally? That's a bit beyond the pail.

Mama O'Malley
But who could blame Callie for her complete shock upon seeing Louise? We thought we'd seen the last of the O'Malleys, as well. We mean, it has been over two seasons since "Georgie" kicked the bucket. But hey, anytime there's a chance to bring back a recurring character to stir up a little drama, you can expect Shonda & Co. to relish the opportunity.

Anurysm cataclysm
One minute, Justine was perfectly fine, dictating her novel to Lexie (Chyler Leigh), plotting ways of keeping star-crossed lovers from different eras apart. And the next, she's seizing. It's a good thing Lexie took a break from ranting about how Kate and Nathan belong together long enough to realize that Justine was having a crisis!

Jax nixes Lex
We're ranking this moment pretty highly on the list by virtue of the fact that it's a major break-up, but were any of us that surprised? Watching this relationship deteriorate was kinda like watching a car crash in slow motion. We liked them as a couple, but we like Mark (Eric Dane) and Lexie more, and Jackson (Jesse Williams) deserves to be with someone who doesn't see him as second-best.

Henry in peril
Alright, Henry, you wanna be a doctor? Here's a pop quiz. You're coughing up blood pretty viciously — what the heck is wrong with you? Nah, our flippancy aside, we are pretty concerned about our favorite Teddy (Kim Raver) lover. He's not lookin' so good all of a sudden! Can't we go back to the fun, flirty, softball days?
