What Is Patrick Dempsey Doing After Grey’s Anatomy Ends? (VIDEO)

Last night’s episode of Grey's Anatomy (Season 9, Episode 6: “Second Opinion”) was an emotional rollercoaster for Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), who went from having some hope for his hand’s recovery, to having zero hope thanks to Callie’s (Sara Ramirez) initially dismal outlook, to having tons of hope after her reversal.

But that didn’t stop Patrick Dempsey from goofing around behind the scenes with Extra. During a set visit, Patrick explained that the first half of Season 9 is all about “Shepherd’s journey … to get to the bottom of what happened” to cause the traumatic plane crash.

Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey) was also there to joke around, saying, “Where else would the McDreamy couple live but in a dream house?”

Patrick was in such a good mood that he said, “After Grey’s, I’m going to get into hosting.” Check it all out in the video below!
