As interesting as it is to see how the residents are responding to fifth year pressure during Grey's Anatomy Season 8, it’s even more fun watching the older doctors deal with their new roles as mentors.

So far, three distinct methods have stuck out to us. Teddy’s (Kim Raver) "back to the basics" approach with Cristina (Sandra Oh) seems a little crazy, but makes some sense in the context of Cristina's giant (if well-earned) ego. Meanwhile, Mark (Eric Dane)'s hot-and-cold attitude towards Jackson (Jesse Williams) is confusing, but might just be the push Jackson needs to gain confidence. Lastly, Arizona (Jessica Capshaw)'s attempts to act as a harsh but loving friend to Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) is very sweet, but leaves us wondering if she provide the kick in the butt he sometimes need.

Who do you think is the best mentor?
