No primetime fox has attracted as much attention for his good looks as Eric Dane since, well, Patrick Dempsey. Eric was raised in San Francisco, where he was (surprise, surprise) a star athlete in high school. A bit part in the Arthur Miller play All My Sons whetted Eric's appetite for acting, and he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the biz in 1993. (He briefly dated Lara Flynn Boyle around the same time. Weird.) A series of small roles — including guest spots in The Wonder Years, Saved By the Bell, Roseanne, and Married With Children — kept him on the right track, but he hit true pay-dirt when he landed recurring roles in Gideon's Crossing, Charmed, and Grey's Anatomy. He joined the latter in 2005 as the super-sexy Dr. Mark Sloan. "McSteamy" became an instant fan favorite (thanks to his abs, natch), which helped Eric snag starring parts in X-Men: The Last Stand, Marley & Me, and Valentine's Day.
Eric met his future wife, Rebecca Gayheart, in 2004. After knowing each other only a few months, the two eloped to Vegas. About 7 months before the March 2010 birth of their daughter, Billie, the impetuous couple made headlines when a video was leaked of them and former Miss Teen USA (and notorious celeb rehabber) Kari Ann Peniche in a situation that could only be described as, well, steamy. But the scandal hasn't harmed Eric’s career: the debonair doc keeps on churning out episodes of Grey's, looking just as delicious as ever.
