character: Mark Sloan
Super sleazy, super sexy plastic surgeon Mark "McSteamy" Sloan has had affairs with Addison Montgomery (when she was still married to Derek Shepherd, Mark's best friend), Callie Torres, Lexie Grey, Teddy Altman, and Reed Adamson — but don't let that fool you. In the words of his shrink: "Behind this rugged and confident exterior, I'm self-destructive and self-loathing to an almost pathological degree." Mark took some time off from his serial womanizing when his long-lost daughter, Sloan, arrived at Seattle Grace with a baby in her belly and nowhere to go. Mark almost adopted Sloan's baby after the birth, but he stuck with the original plan instead, giving the baby to an adoptive couple. McSteamy is growing emotionally, and he decided to really commit to Lexie. Unfortunately, Callie's pregnancy with his child has put a wrench in this newly committed relationship — but at least Mark's really excited to be a dad!
