Owen Hunt isn't like the other touchy-feely male doctors that populate Seattle Grace. After working for many years in the U.S. Army, the ruggedly handsome Owen impressed Cristina Yang by performing a tracheotomy with a ballpoint pen. Sparks flew, and the two have been together — on and off — ever since. No, it hasn't been the smoothest of rides: Owen's post-traumatic stress disorder, which stems from his intense experiences in Iraq, causes him to accidentally strangle Cristina in his sleep. Whoops! Their relationship was further complicated by the arrival of cardiothoracic surgeon Teddy Altman, Owen's former best friend who wanted to me more than just his friend. Tortured as he may be, Owen continued to recover from his PTSD through his sessions with hospital psychologist Dr. Wyatt, and he and Cristina managed to work it out enough to get married. Now if only they could agree on the baby issue...
