Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 Spoilers: Results of Meredith’s Alzheimer’s Test Revealed!

On last week’s episode of Grey's Anatomy (Season 9, Episode 19: "Can't Fight This Feeling"), Meredith Grey took the leap she’s been contemplating for decades: testing her predisposition to Alzheimer's, thanks to Bailey's new genetic mapping technology.

While we were prepared to wait until the April 4 episode (Season 9, Episode 20: "She's Killing Me”) to find out the results, they’ve come in a bit sooner than expected.

Thanks to TVLine’s exclusive first look at the dramatic reveal, we know that Meredith does, in fact, test positive for more than one genetic marker for Alzheimer’s. While the details of exactly which markers are under wraps, things aren’t looking good regardless.

In the clip below, Bailey tries to keep the results from Meredith at first, asking her to answer a questionnaire as she stumbles to stall actually delivering the news. Additionally, she couldn’t get a “clear read” off of Zola’s sample, so more bad news could be to come.

“This test gives us a tons of information. Some of it’s clear and some of it isn’t, so we don’t want to jump to anything without careful consideration,” Bailey explains, but Mere is quick to cut her off, asking her again and again.

Ultimately, she has to resort to a threat to get a real answer, saying, “Bailey, you’re my mentor and my friend and i respect your work, but I’m telling you — if you don’t answer my question, I will punch you in the face.”

Hell hath no fury like a worried pregnant woman. We’ll just be pacing anxiously until we know the nitty gritty of the situation on Thursday night while watching Bailey say, “You have tested positive for more than one of the genetic markers for Alzheimer's” on repeat. This can’t be good.

Are you worried for Meredith and her unborn baby? Sound off below.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 airs on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
