Rihanna Plans to Be “More Guarded and Reserved” After Breakup With Drake — Report

Rihanna and Drake may no longer be together, but the effects of their relationship ending will be with Rihanna for a long time.

According to Hollywood Life, the “Monster” singer is struggling with the end of her relationship with Drake big time, and after having her heart broken by someone she was so in love with, she’s not too keen on starting over with someone else anytime soon. In fact, she’s planning on keeping herself closed off to most people altogether.

“Instead of putting her heart and feelings out there on the table, she will be more guarded and reserved,” a source close to Riri says. “She wants to apologize right now if people see her out and she’s just not in the mood. She has to be that way in order to protect her feelings. The right man — and emphasis on man — will come along one day. It will be good.”

We already know a breakup was something Rihanna knew was coming, but she was obviously dreading it. Reportedly, she was even dodging Drake’s calls to avoid having The Conversation, but in the end, it caught up with her. Now, Rihanna’s friend says that the 26-year-old singer is bummed at how much time she invested in a relationship that didn’t last forever.

“She likes him but it’s hard when a man tells his girl that they have to pump the breaks on the relationship so he can go out there and grind,” the friend adds. “It’s all good though. She will learn at the end of the day.

Better luck next time, Rihanna. There are plenty of fish — and even cute rappers — in the sea.
