All will be revealed during the Pretty Little Liars Halloween episode… at least that’s what showrunner Marlene King is promising!
“We’ll find out in the Halloween episode once and for all if Ali is alive or not,” Marlene told Wetpaint Entertainment at the Pretty Little Liars Halloween episode screening at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on October 15. “It really informs where we go when we come back in January, which we’re really excited about.”
Is Ali is indeed alive, then the remainder of Season 4 becomes the search for Ali and answers — mainly, where has she been hiding, and more importantly, who has she been hiding from?
“It’s game changing for the girls, and the questions they’re going to be asking are different,” executive producer Oliver Goldstick told us. “What happens after [the Halloween episode] is — oh my god — there are more questions. There are more! There are questions, like, oh my god, have we trusted somebody who has been not only a lover to Aria but a confidante to the girls? That blows up in Season 4B.”
Whoa! Obviously, that somebody Oliver is referring to is Ezra, our number one “A” suspect after the summer finale. But of course, there are more sides to the story. Sasha Pieterse (Ali) told Wetpaint, “There’s a lot of sad things, happy things, angry things going on with his character, and we know it will be a very intense season for Ezra.”
We know the Liars will start to become more suspicious of Ezra in Season 4B — but is it Ali who points them in the right direction? Or could it be that mysterious journal that Hanna pulled from “A’s” lair? Will we see Ali and the Liars finally work together? With so many questions, we’re hoping Mona is there to dish out rapid-fire answers!
It sounds like Season 4 could be Pretty Little Liars’ craziest season yet, and we’re excited to see what twists and turns the PLL Powers That Be throw at us next.
Are you excited for the Halloween episode? Do you think Ali is alive? Sound off in the comments!
