As DWTS host Tom Bergeron just teased, “Happy Birthday @GrumpyLGoodman! Careful blowing out the candles. That's gotta be like leaning into a bonfire!! (I kid ya cause I love ya).”
Ha! But we should all be so lucky to make 70 at all, never mind look as good as Len. Our favorite old sausage is just as fit and mischievous as the day he started on DWTS when the show premiered in 2005. He’s also the head judge of the U.K.’s Strictly Come Dancing. Every fall, Len and Bruno Tonioli commute back and forth from London to L.A. on a weekly basis to judge both shows.
There was a rumor that Len might not want to keep up that commute, so we’ll have to see what his plans are for the fall 2014 DWTS Season 19. You might think at 70 he’d be ready to cut down to just one job, but when the jobs are this much fun, who knows?
For now, we’re thrilled to have him around, even if his scores and comments aren’t always our “cup of tea.” We respect his opinion and love having his classic ballroom perspective anchoring the show.
