Which Harry Potter Star Drops His Pants in New Film?

If you thought you saw a lot of Daniel Radcliffe when he performed in his birthday suit during the play Equus, prepare for Harry Potter’s right-hand man, Ron Weasley. Not to be outdone, the actor Rupert Grint, who starred as Ron in all eight film installments of Harry Potter, drops his pants in his newest big screen role.

Starring as Dead Boys punk rocker Cheetah Chrome in CBGB, Rupert lets it all hang out to prove to a female record producer that “the carpet matches the drapes.” Although we’ll only see Rupert’s bare bum, the producer (Stana Katic of Castle) is impressed enough by Cheetah’s front to seal the record deal.

“That was quite fun,” Rupert tells Vulture of the scene. “I didn’t really think about it until I had to do it, but it was kind of quite a tricky process. I think in the end, we needed a sock contraption. So that kind of worked.”

To prepare for his first nude scene, Rupert says he could, thankfully, skip out on waxing unlike CBGB co-star Justin Bartha. The Hangover actor had “to get his waxed,” explains Rupert though he doesn’t exactly clarify what “his” Justin de-haired.

When Rupert’s bottom makes its onscreen debut, don’t expect any Harry Potter-themed ink, however. Despite a rumor started during promotion of the movies that the cast would all get lightning bolts on the left butt cheek, Rupert says “it never actually happened in the end.” However, he adds, “I’m still up for that.”

We wonder what fellow CBGB star Alan Rickman (aka Professor Snape) would have to say about that...
