Kim Zolciak “Hated” Real Housewives of Atlanta — What Gives?

Although we were holding out hope that Kim Zolciak might announce her return to Real Housewives of Atlanta when she appears on Watch What Happens Live tonight, August 13, with Andy Cohen, it looks like our wish won’t be coming true anytime soon.

The current star of Don’t Be Tardy recently chatted with In Touch Weekly about her time on RHoA, and even though the Bravo hit launched her career, Kim explained that she wasn’t a fan of how she was portrayed on the reality TV staple. “I was made to look like a wine drinking, raging lunatic!” Kimmie recalled. “I hated it!”

Adding insult to injury was the fact that, by Season 5 when she left, Kim didn’t like many of her costars. “That made things difficult,” she explained. “It got to a point where I felt like I was sacrificing myself for a paycheck. I never knew what I was getting into.” Though Kimmie curses like a sailor, she maintains that she wasn’t a fan of the show’s frequent catfights either.

Kim left RHoA once and for all shortly after Season 5 began filming. At the time she was pregnant with son Kash, and she explained that she didn’t need the extra stress of the show to potentially harm her or her baby. Kim did, however, make an appearance at the season's reunion, during which she kissed and made up with frenemy NeNe Leakes.

Though the cast has changed since Kim left RHoA — Sheree Whitfield is out and Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore are in — we still think the mom of six is happiest on DBT. However, maybe Andy could at least convince Kim to do a cameo on RHoA Season 7 when she stops by the Bravo clubhouse tonight!

Are you surprised that Kim says she “hated” RHoA? Weigh in below!
