A new year means a new house for Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow, as she updates us all on the progress of her family's new digs.
We learned during Season 8 of RHOC that Heather and husband Terry decided to sell their gorgeous previous home on a whim when someone knocked on their door with an offer they couldn't refuse. And so they decided to start from scratch by snagging a plot of land, pioneer-style.
On January 6, Heather posted a photo to Instagram of herself standing in front of a crane as progress is made on creating their dream home.
"Happy Monday! #letsgetdigging #2014bringit #RHOC," Heather captions the cute shot.
The family broke ground on the property about a month ago, as Heather posted a photo (at right) of herself and the rest of her brood wearing cowboy hats and other Old West garb at the site. "AMAZING day at our Groundbreaking party! #buildingournewhome #HoeDown #familyandfriends #RHOC," she captions that one.
Back in October 2013, Heather had told Wetpaint Entertainment exclusively about her family's plans. "We are hoping to break ground in November," she said at the time, adding that viewers will "be seeing a lot of [the building] on the show." We can't wait to watch this dirt field turn into a home!
Are you surprised that Heather and Terry let go of their previous house and are starting from scratch?
