Heather Locklear Hospitalized After Crashing Porsche Into Ditch

What a scary accident!

Heather Locklear was hospitalized after she crashed her Porsche into a ditch near her home in Los Angeles.

Thankfully, the actress only suffered minor injuries in the crash.

It’s also understood neither drugs nor alcohol played a part in the accident.

According to TMZ, the police said the 55-year-old was sober at the time of the crash, which happened just after 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 14.

The blonde beauty, who is best known for her starring roles on Dynasty and Melrose Place, has a history of substance abuse.

She has also been involved in a number of road incidents and has been arrested for driving under the influence in the past.

For example, The Perfect Man star was arrested in September 2008 in connection with being under the influence of a controlled substance while she was behind the wheel.

At the time, an eyewitness claimed the mother of one was “revving her engine loudly and backed over a pair of sunglasses several times.”

And Tom Marshall, a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol, revealed the actress was considered to be "under the influence of prescription medication" when the incident occurred.

The Franklin & Bash star also pleaded no contest to misdemeanor reckless driving in January of 2009.

In light of that incident, Heather — who was previously married to musician Tommy Lee and Richie Sambora — accepted three years probation.

And, as punishment, she had to pay $700 in fines and attend a drug program.

However, she was arrested again in 2010 when she was accused by the authorities of a misdemeanor hit-and-run.

The Ventura County Sheriff claimed she smashed into a sign before abandoning the scene of the incident.

Sheriff's spokesman Ross Bonfiglio subsequently said, "It appears she drove up on a curb and hit the sign."

However, she was later cleared of any wrongdoing and the authorities determined there was "insufficient evidence" to convict her.

We’re glad to hear Heather wasn’t hurt in the incident.
