Heidi Klum Admits She Was “Terrified” For Parks and Rec Guest Spot
Heidi Klum may have more or less the exact set-up most people dream about when they close their eyes — that whole charming supermodel-turned-TV star with an adorable bunch of children thing is a nice one to imagine — but just because she lives a charmed life doesn’t mean she approaches every new challenge with total confidence.
Case in point: the Project Runway host admitted on last night’s episode of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon that, despite years of on-camera experience in little more than bedazzled underwear, her upcoming guest spot on Parks and Recreation had her spooked.
“I have to tell you, I was so nervous," admitted a sheepish Heidi. "There’s never a cue card, or prompter or lines that I have to memorize. And then, all of a sudden they gave me these pages and I was like, terrified.”
Heidi, who stars in the show’s September 26 season premiere as a foreign mayor in town to accept an award at a Women in Government event, where Amy Poehler’s character, Leslie Knope, is also being honored, said of her performance, “I don’t know if I did well. I tried my best!”
We’re sure Heidi did a fantastic job, but, in the worst case scenario, she still gets to be Heidi Klum at the end of the day. Win-win!
