Another musical number from the multi-talented Marti Perkins? We can’t wait!
Two, four, six, eight, who do we appreciate... and who do we think is a total loser? Every week, we’ll rank the players in Hellcats to see who’s flying high and who’s at the bottom of the pyramid. Let’s go!
DERRICK ALTMAN
Ranking: 10 (out of 10)
Last ranking: 6 (out of 10)
Yay: We were really impressed with the way Derrick handled the whole Vanessa-might-still-be-in-love-with-Red situation. Very mature!
Boo: Can things get any worse? First, he finds out he's being shipped out to Germany for a year. Then, when he was hoping to leave on a happy note with Vanessa as his loyal wife waiting for him back home, she goes and breaks his poor little heart. Talk about a case of the Mondays.
ALICE VERDURA
Ranking: 9 (out of 10)
Last ranking: 5 (out of 10)
Yay: In the end, Alice finally got over herself and went to visit Jake, as promised. Hey, she even managed to bring a smile to his face!
Boo: Before that, however, Alice had totally disregarded her promise to go visit her ex-boyfriend. Her reasoning was that she felt responsible for him being there because she was the one who talked him into it via her false God-has-a-plan speech. Um, self-centered much? Jake went to jail because he committed a big fat crime!
JAKE "THE JACKASS" HARROW
Ranking: 8 (out of 10)
Last ranking: 4 (out of 10)
Yay: Jake seems to be handling his situation quite well, all things considered. Of course, he was particularly happy when Alice finally dropped in for an overdue chat, even cracking jokes. Best of all, Marti was right — Jake is sleeping better at night now that he's at peace with his sordid past.
Boo: Going from college campus to prison cell still kinda sucks, big time.
VANESSA LODGE
Ranking: 7 (out of 10)
Last ranking: 7 (out of 10)
Yay: The last few months couldn't have been easy for Vanessa, who's been struggling to sort out her feelings for her ex, Red. She must be felling at least a little relief now that everything's out in the open.
Boo: Regardless of whether or not it's the right choice, break-ups are the worst, period. Broken engagements are even more devastating.
WANDA PERKINS
Ranking: 6 (out of 10)
Last ranking: 6 (out of 10)
Yay: Well, well, well. Wanda certainly proved herself to be quite the competent wedding planner. The Patch event went off without a hitch. Nice work!
Boo: For reals, Wanda needs to stop meddling in her daughter's love life. Dan and Savannah belong together — get used to it!
It’s hard to believe that these two ever let Dan come between them. We’re so happy that they’re besties again.
MARTI PERKINS
Ranking: 5 (out of 10)
Last ranking: 3 (out of 10)
Yay: Finally, Dan and Marti are speaking again! What's more, they talked about what happened between them and agreed that they're better off as friends, and Savannah and Marti's friendship also survived a day of somewhat catty competition. Also, Marti's like the best singer ever... how awesome was her rendition of the Rolling Stones classic, "Wild Horses"? So good.
Boo: We're not entirely sure that Marti was being honest about her feelings for Dan... what would she have said if Savannah hadn't of interrupted with her mushroom puffs?
TRAVIS GUTHRIE
Ranking: 4 (out of 10)
Last ranking: 1 (out of 10)
Yay: One week out of jail and Travis is already employed and living with a saucy blonde? Not too shabby. Wanda and Travis sitting on a tree? Only time will tell. In other positives, Travis also talked Alice into visiting Jake, even though Jake made his life miserable for about five years now. That takes a person with a big heart.
Boo: So far, not much to complain about when it comes to Travis. The guy is kinda adorably awesome.
RED RAYMOND
Ranking: 3 (out of 10)
Last ranking: 2 (out of 10)
Yay: Red was barely featured in this week's episode, so you know something majorly amazing had to happen for him to show up this high in our Power Rankings. Yep, his dream girl Vanessa broke off her engagement to Derrick on a whim, aka Red himself. In other words, Red got exactly what he wanted.
Boo: Now that it happened, why do we get the feeling that Red might mess it all up? Breaking up Derrick and Vanessa's engagement better not be payback for when Vanessa broke up his marriage to Emily. Speaking of Emily — SPOILER ALERT — rumor has it Red's ex is headed back to Lancer, yet another obstacle in Red and Vanessa's path to happiness.
DAN PATCH
Ranking: 2 (out of 10)
Last ranking: 8 (out of 10)
Yay: Woo-hoo, he's baaaaaaaack! Oh, how we missed that adorable smile and tousled hair. Looks like Dan's escape to New Orleans gave him some much-needed perspective, as he now clearly realizes Savannah is the girl for him. Success!
Boo: Let's just hope he truly is over Marti or else things could get very complicated, indeed.
SAVANNAH MONROE
Ranking: 1 (out of 10)
Last ranking: 9 (out of 10)
Yay: After staying true to herself and following her heart — and even turning down a smoking hot firefighter last week — Savannah got her happy ending. We were literally cheering when Davannah got back together... cutest couple ever!
Boo: That whole competition thing with Marti was a little weird. And, while we were impressed with her sneaky maneuver of paying off some dude to distract Dan's date, her ability to identify every single member of Dan's extended family was actually bordering on a little stalker creepy. Still, she got her man and that's all that matters!
