Hellcats

After revealing some tantalizing info at the Television Critics Association press tour on Saturday, January 14, Hellcats’ hottie Aly Michalka did what TV stars do best (well, aside from acting, of course). Our fave cheerlawyer partied it up in style! She was joined by fellow kick-ass CW stars, including Nikita’s Maggie Q and Lyndsy Fonseca, as well as Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and Ian Somerhalder from The Vampire Diaries.

But celebs weren’t the only ones mingling ‘til the wee hours of the morn at the Langham Huntington Hotel —  Wetpaint was on the scene, and we managed to score some one-on-one time with Miss Michalka for an exclusive(!) interview. (Warning: Spoilers Ahead!)

What elements make for a really great date?
“I think the person. I don’t think it’s even about the elements or the surroundings. I just think it’s about the intimacy between the people.”

What is the future of the love triangle? Will Dan make a choice?
“Yes, for sure he will. Within the next four episodes.”

Will Marti stay on the squad after that?
“She does stay on the squad. She’s part of the Hellcats. She does get initiated into the squad.”

What about future musical guests?
“We do have 3OH3! coming on, which is awesome. We had a great time with them. Also, my sister is going to be on the show with me singing, so I’m looking forward to that.”

Is that already shot or scheduled?
“I don’t know when it will be exactly, but I know the producers and writers have talked about it.”

Is it an official “Aly and AJ” performance?
“No, it’s going to be completely different. Not group related.”

Do you think Savannah and Marti will stay friends after Dan makes a decision?
“I do. I think they have such a solid friendship and a bond, that it’s something that I think no matter how hard it is and how hard it is going to be for Marti to rekindle that friendship and get back to where they were — it’s going to take some time and some trust — but I feel that Marti is going to show her cards to Savannah, and that’s going to really resonate with her. She’ll feel at least she’s genuine and is going to make an effort.”

Has that already happened in scripts you’ve read?
“It has. I’m looking forward to even unfolding more and more throughout the rest of the season. Where you really see, OK, they’re fine, and this is not going to shake their relationship.”

Any huge surprises in the second half of the season?
“Yes. There’s one really big one. And there’s another one — there’s quite a few. We still have a lot of surprises for the rest of the show.”

At cliffhanger, end-of-season time?
“Yes, cliffhanger time, but there’s also going to be some surprises, I would say, coming up around February/March. You’re going to see a lot of cliffhanger storylines.”
