More Hershel! Watch Deleted Scene From The Walking Dead Season 4 (VIDEO)

We’ll never say no to more Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson) on The Walking Dead. It was tragic to lose him halfway through Season 4, even if that was longer than Hershel was originally expected to live. It was great to see Hersh again in a flashback in the Season 4 finale. And now you can see Hershel in a deleted scene from the Season 4, Episode 8 mid-season finale. Entertainment Weekly posted the video (watch it below), which will be featured on Blu-ray and DVD (to be released August 26).

The two-minute scene is set in The Governor’s (David Morrissey) camp, as Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Hershel are held hostage in "Brian’s" trailer. Mitch (Kirk Acevedo) is the one watching over them and he’s a tool about it, calling Hershel “a one-legged Santa Claus” and Michonne “a rasta bitch.” Well! He also tries to intimidate Michonne and gets lewd about “stumping” her, but she sets him straight without saying a word.

The best part is in the end when The Governor smacks Mitch for not doing what he was told. Scratch that, the best part is at the start when Hershel is talking about jerky. From Spaghetti Tuesdays to jerky with just a hint of paprika — he would’ve been the perfect judge for Top Chef: Zombie Apocalypse.

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres Sunday, October 12 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
