We haven't been seeing a whole lot of Hilary Duff lately, which is fair — after all, she does have to raise her amazing son, Luca. But we've totally missed her since her days as Lizzie McGuire! Fortunately for fans, though, she's back in the TV saddle, starring alongside Sutton Foster (Bunheads) and Debi Mazar (Entourage) in the TV Land production Younger.

The series follows 40-year-old, recently-single mama Liza (Sutton), who gets a compliment from a 20-something guy… so she gets a makeover. Thanks to the miracle of bouncy, ombre hair — and bestie Maggie (Debi)'s encouragement — she starts passing as a 26-year-old, and gets a sweet admin job at a publishing company. Apparently, Liza's shiny, new age is supposed to help her "make it in the career of her dreams."

From the trailer, we can see Hilary's character, Kelsey, an actual 20-something, convincing Lisa to get all #YOLO: "We're only in our twenties once!" (Get it? Because Liza's in her 20s for a second time.) We're guessing the series' first season was filmed before Hil's recent haircut, since her girl-next-door blonde waves are out in full force.

The series, based on a novel of the same name by Pamela Redmond Satran  — also the author of at least seven baby name books — is written, produced, and directed by Sex and the City creator Darren Star.

No matter how the series turns out, we're stoked that Hilary is diving headfirst back into TV! This return to the small screen is slated for January 2015. See the trailer below.
