Selena Gomez Hires New Manager — Katy Perry, Adam Lambert Rep! — Report

Selena Gomez did not hire Justin Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun to replace her mom and stepfather. And she did not hire Kris Jenner either, so both of those rumors can take a seat.

According to Us Weekly, 21-year-old Selena has hired Bradford Cobb as her new manager. Bradford also manages music stars Katy Perry and Adam Lambert, and he was listed as one of Billboard's 40 executives under 40 last July. He sounds like a pretty big cheese.

Selena has been making a lot of life changes lately, in addition to "firing" her mom Mandy and stepdad Brian Teefey as her managers. She canceled part of her tour last year, and went into rehab in January. She's also been spending a lot of time lately with Kylie and Kendall Jenner, plus her on-and-off boyfriend Justin Bieber, instead of her usual BFF Taylor Swift. (And maybe now she and the Jenners are on the outs? Who can even keep up with her friends anymore...)

But just last summer, Selena said she was hoping to get back into making movies, instead of focusing on music. "I'm a woman so I change my mind all the time," Selena said (via Us Weekly) during a press conference for her new film Getaway. "One day I want to do acting and just that, and then other times I just want to do music and just that, so it changes. ... But this is my last record for a while. I'm going to tour it and then I'm going to just kind of get into acting for a really long period of time, hopefully."

And yet she now has a manager with a roster of famous singers. So ... maybe she changed her mind again? At the very least, this shows she's serious about taking the next step in her career, so we'll have to see where she goes from here. Good luck, Selena!
