Is This HBO Ad Proof Hodor Is in ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7?

Hodor hodor hodor hodor, hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor?

Translation: If Hodor is in a new HBO ad, does that mean he’ll appear in Game of Thrones Season 7?

The premium cable network enlisted some of its biggest stars — many Game of Thrones stars included — for a new ad campaign titled “It’s What Connects Us.”

In the ads, the stars all open up and say “ahh” as their voices meld and resolve into HBO’s harmonic intro.

Here’s the thing, though. Amid all the usual GOT faces — Lena Headey as Cersei, Emilia Clarke as Daenerys, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime, etc. — is Kristian Nairn in his full Hodor get-up.

True to form, the character says “Hodor” Instead of “ahh.”

We certainly thought we saw this former stablehand die in Season 6, torn apart by wights as he holds the door and protects Bran Stark and Meera Reed, even as Bran inadvertently links to Hodor’s past self and causes him irrevocable mental damage.

But that’s not to say we’ll never see Hodor again...

Bran could do the time warp again, of course, and see his companion (and occasional steed) in flashbacks.

Or perhaps Hodor has been zombified by the White Walkers…

“As much as I would like to come back and play a White Walker, I think it would be wrong,” Kristian told The Independent last summer.

“There are too many emotions tied up, it would be a bit of a travesty to bring him back.”

But the Northern Irish actor isn’t totally opposed to a reprise performance.

“If they’re going to do it, I’m sure they’d find a really cool way to do it,” he added.

“Whatever happens, it’s probably not going to end well. A zombie Hodor is not a pretty thought.”

And to that, we simply say: Hodor.
