Hollywood Trend “Ball Ironing” Is What it Sounds Like, and George Clooney Does It

You've heard of Botox and you've heard of labiaplasty. You've even heard of vajazzling. But ball ironing?

"Ball ironing" is pretty much what it sounds like, only replace the painful clothing iron with a laser. It costs $575, but apparently a smooth scrotum is priceless!

Celebrity beautician Nurse Jamie tells the Daily Mail that she added the "Tighten the Tackle" procedure to the menu at her Santa Monica-based spa last year, and it's grown extremely popular! Even George Clooney does it, admitting (or joking?) to Italian magazine Max that he focuses his getting-work-done budget on his nethers: "I did not like the wrinkles."

Whether a joke or not, getting tightened up down there is totally possible with $600 and a dream.

"They thought the Brazilian bikini wax was crazy ten years ago [...] don't knock it til you try it," says Nurse Jamie.

"Down there the skin ages, it's a thinner skin like that around the eyes," she adds.

So now people can go in and get a facelift and a different kind of lift! She apparently thought of providing the procedure after a ton of customer inquiry — she credits the procedure's popularity to men "becoming more comfortable with their grooming habits."

What did she think of calling it before she settled on "Tighten the Tackle"? "Ball Ironing," of course, but also "Go Nuts," and "Laser Polish the Crown Jewels," which we have to admit, is kind of a mouthful. Online, it's discreetly called the "Male Laser Lift," with clarification in the description: "Evens out skin tone, removes discoloration from ingrown hairs, removes skin tags, and provides overall tightening to the external skin. You know where..."

The procedure takes a little over an hour, and results can last up to four weeks, so if you're seeing a special someone tonight — someone who actually spends time looking at the sac — you know who to call.
