Homeland Season 2 ended with a literal bang as the CIA was left in shambles following the detonation of a bomb in Nicholas Brody’s (Damian Lewis) car. Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) was convinced that her mole-turned-love interest had been framed, so she eagerly helped him flee the country.
But have the mass casualties that the bomb in Brody’s car caused led Carrie to rethink her twisted devotion to the man she was once convinced was a terrorist?
Per E! Online, not so much.
“Carrie's heart, for now, belongs to Brody,” the site states.
And crazy Carrie’s allegiance to Brody also means that she has no interest in other men, like co-worker Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) with whom she occasionally flirted last season.“She's too preoccupied with protecting him and dealing with Saul to bat her eyelashes at Quinn.”
What’s more? It looks like there will be obstacles on Quinn’s side as well. E! Online continues, “There might be romance brewing with a new person on the team and Quinn. It's too early to tell, but we wouldn't be surprised if Homeland went there with the two of them.”
In other words, the future really doesn’t look good for Carrie and Quinn. Are you surprised that Carrie is still so hopelessly devoted to Brody, or does it make perfect sense given her state of mind?
