Honey Boo Boo Wants Lots More Money for Season 2

If you love watching the Shannon family extreme coupon, prep for pageants, and enjoy cuisine from cheese poofs to “sketti,” you’ve probably been wondering if TLC’s Here Comes Honey Boo Boo will get a second season. According to a source for The Hollywood Reporter, the answer is likely “yes.”

Much has been made of the THR story which claimed Honey Boo Boo and her kin were only making a collective $4,000 per episode. (In contrast, the Jersey Shore crew made $5,000 a piece for each episode of their first season.)

The site’s insider claims the Shannon family wants $10,000 an episode if they return for Season 2. Discovery Communications president Eileen O’Neill told THR that they haven’t yet decided to renew the show, but a second season is a strong possibility.

Can contract negotiations also include a cameo from Glitzy? We miss that pig.
