The ratings are in for the series premiere of Star-Crossed... and they’re not looking so hot. The CW’s new alien romance aired its first episode on Monday, February 17, and the Aimee Teegarden-fronted show got off to a pretty lackluster start.

Only 1.2 million people turned in to watch the premiere, Zap2it reports. Now, that’s a pretty normal number for an average episode of a CW show. But in terms of a series premiere, there’s no doubt that the show was hoping for something a little higher!

To be fair, even ratings powerhouses like The Bachelor were down last night. With the Winter Olympics on in full force, people just aren’t watching other shows. Star-Crossed may have had a paltry 0.4 demo rating, but most other shows only had a demo rating in the 0.7 to 1.7 range. Even TV powerhouse Bachelor tied its series low, hitting only a 1.7.

In comparison with other CW shows, Star-Crossed isn’t doing great, but it’s certainly not a flop. It performed worse than the premiere of fellow sci-fi series The Tomorrow People. (That show got a 0.8 demo rating to Star-Crossed’s 0.4.) But this week’s episode of Hart of Dixie got an even lower demo rating: 0.3. Beauty and the Beast got 0.3, as well.
