You think things got intense during the Star-Crossed premiere on Monday? You ain’t seen nothing yet. The CW’s new romance/sci-fi drama returns on Monday, February 24, for Episode 2, and tensions between the humans and Atrians are about to hit a boiling point.

Just take a look at the promo for "These Violent Delights Have Violent Ends." Things really aren’t looking good! Kind-hearted alien Roman’s (Matt Lanter) father was killed in the final moments of the premiere, and the death of this peaceful Atrian leader at the hands of a human is going to set off a dramatic chain of events.

“They’re seeking retribution,” a newscaster warns of the angry, grieving Atrians. “War with the humans could be on the horizon.” We see clips of explosions. Danger. No one appears to be safe.

That includes Emery (Aimee Teegarden). The human girl whom Roman has been pining after since childhood might be back in his life, but that doesn’t mean it’s safe for them to be together.

He stares at her, sadly, a pained look in his eyes. “This is bigger than the two of us now,” he tells her. Sigh. No one ever said that falling in love with a super hot alien would make life easy.

Star-Crossed Season 1, Episode 2: "These Violent Delights Have Violent Ends" airs on Monday, February 24, 2014, at 8 p.m./7c on The CW.
